Easy Homemade Caramels

I've always wanted to make homemade caramels, but I was a little nervous to dive into the recipe! I created a no fail chewy caramel recipe that takes only 6 minutes to make! I had my fiancé taste them and he couldn't talk because his face was all smiles from the flavor!

Chewy Caramels:

In a heat proof bowl, combine the condensed milk, karo, melted butter, both sugars, and the salt

In 2 minute intervals microwave the mixture until you hit 6 minutes

Stirring in between each round of 2 minutes you should notice the mixture start to caramelize

In a brownie tin place two sheets of parchment paper to cover the bottom and sides


- 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk

- 1/2 cup of karo *corn syrup

- 1/4 cup of melted butter

- 1/2 cup of white sugar

- 1/2 cup of brown sugar

- pinch of salt




After the caramel is done (6 minutes) and pour the melted super hot caramel onto the parchment and place in the freezer for 1 hour.

When an hour is up, remove from the freezer and cup with a super sharp strong knife and enjoy!
