Maple Syrup Pear Oatmeal


Something you might not know about me is that I love oatmeal! I love it! When I was a kid my parents would wake my sister and I up for school. We'd rolled out of bed and got to the kitchen for breakfast and 9 times out of 10 my dad would have a big white ceramic bowl full of steaming hot oats ready for us! I have the best memories of him giving us each a huge scoop in a bowl and my sister and I just pouring maple syrup and brown sugar into the oats! Not until college did I start putting fruits and nuts into my oatmeal and it really hasn't stopped since!


One of my all time favorite things to add to my oatmeal is a good ripe pear! Pears have such a distinct flavor that it adds to the nuttiness of the oats! Although, they don't add that much texture the slight flavor enhancement is worth the addition! I also love to garnish the top of mine with slices of pears for a yummy treat with each bite!



Gluten-free & Vegan Pear Galette with Vanilla Ice Cream


I LOVE galettes! It's just an open pie and serious amazing because you eat it like a pizza! (many slices at a time!). There is nothing better than a good pie and pears are in season right now so slide over apples let's get to pear-ing our pears with a galette crust thats vegan & gluten free! *pun intended!


Enjoy with many scoops of vanilla dairy free NadaMoo! ice cream on top!


Gluten-Free & Vegan Cranberry Raspberry Doughnuts

I am currently driving to Florida while this post is up and I just have to say, the last shoot for this recipe in my Utah apartment really made me love this recipe more! I grabbed some of the last of these delicious Driscoll's raspberries and fresh local cranberries that are coming into season right in time for the Holidays! The mix of the sweet but tangy flavor from both the berries really added a punch with the nutty nutmeg that is in the doughnuts! All in all this is the perfect doughnut to kick off the holiday season!

Chocolate Protein Oatmeal Granola


Lately, I've been craving cereal... am I the only one who randomly goes through dips and needs of eating cereal! Let me know because my craving for granola has been high lately! Well, instead of going through boxes of store bought granola full of sugar and junk, I grabbed my fave vegan protein powder (here)---ps. it takes like a legit brownie and mixed it in with a few ingredients to make my own protein packed granola! Its chocolatey, crunchy and full of protein!  


Throw this granola over some yogurt, or in a bowl with almond milk (my fave!!)! It's a perfect breakfast that fills you up and gets your protein in early in the morning as well as some good carbohydrates and fats to keep your brain working all day!
